Information You Submit
Search terms
A name or location entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. We do not keep or log those search terms on our own systems.
Messages
When you email or send a contact message, we retain the information needed to answer. We do not share that message outside our organization unless the law requires it.
Automatic Technical Data
A normal page request can create basic technical records used to operate and assess the site. They may include:
- Your Internet Protocol address
- Your browser name and version
- Your device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when supplied
- The date and time of each request
Cookies
Cookies help us understand site use. You may block them through browser settings, though parts of the site may then work differently.
How Information Is Used
Collected data supports ordinary site functions and service improvement. We use it to:
- Keep pages available and responsive
- Send search requests to the selected provider
- See which content visitors find useful
- Diagnose errors and technical faults
- Display advertising that may reflect user interests
Outside Websites and Advertising
Links lead to sheriff and corrections pages, government release-record portals, and outside search services. Once you leave, that service's privacy policy controls its handling of data.
Some advertising providers may measure activity across websites to select ads. That tracking occurs on their systems, not ours.
When Data May Be Shared
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- Search partners that process a submitted query
- Analytics providers that measure site activity
- Advertising networks that deliver ads
- Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Security Practices
We use standard safeguards suited to a public website. No Internet service can promise perfect security, so we cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian may contact us to request deletion if a minor submitted information.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:
- Provide a copy of personal data we hold
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Erase information associated with you
- Stop certain forms of processing
